Screensaver
Set a screensaver
Choose a scene, set when it starts and how it behaves on multiple displays.
Choose a scene
Open SCRNSVRS, select a scene in the library and click Set as Screensaver. To use the same scene on your desktop too, choose Set as Screensaver and Wallpaper.
Click Preview Full Screen to watch any scene – including premium ones – before you decide.
When it starts
Open Settings (⌘,) and choose Start after: 1, 2, 5, 10, 15, 30 or 60 minutes without keyboard or mouse input. Any input ends the screensaver.
SCRNSVRS watches idle time itself, so keep it running in the menu bar and turn on Open at login.
Multiple displays
Under Settings → Displays → Multiple displays:
- Independent – every display renders its own copy of the scene.
- Mirrored – all displays show the same picture.
SCRNSVRS and the macOS screen saver
SCRNSVRS runs its own screensaver from the menu bar. To avoid two screen savers fighting over your display, set the macOS screen saver (System Settings → Screen Saver) to start later than SCRNSVRS, or turn it off.
Locking your Mac
If your Mac asks for a password after the screen saver starts, that setting lives in System Settings → Lock Screen and still applies.
