Get started

Install

1. Open SCRNSVRS on the Mac App Store and click Get.
2. Open SCRNSVRS from your Applications folder or Launchpad. It lives in the menu bar (top right of your screen) – there is no Dock icon to keep track of.
3. SCRNSVRS needs macOS Tahoe 26 or later and runs on Apple silicon and Intel Macs.

No account or sign-in is needed.

Set your first screensaver

1. Click the SCRNSVRS icon in the menu bar and choose Open SCRNSVRS….
2. Pick a scene in the library – the Free Forever ones are always free, Free this month brings a fresh free set every month, and everything else is free for your first 7 days.
3. Click Set as Screensaver.

That’s it. When your Mac has had no keyboard or mouse input for the time set in Settings (5 minutes by default), the scene plays full screen on every display. Any key or mouse movement ends it.

Try it right away

Click the menu bar icon and choose Start, or open Settings (⌘,) and set Start after to 1 minute.

Keep it running

SCRNSVRS starts the screensaver itself, so it has to be running. Turn on Open at login in Settings and it will be ready after every restart.
