The office-PC classic, rebuilt for Retina. Glossy pipes grow, twist and branch across your screen until it fills up – then it starts all over.
Every nineties office had one: the idle PC in the corner, slowly filling up with a tangle of colorful 3D pipes. We are rebuilding that classic natively for macOS – with glossy materials, soft studio lighting and smooth Retina rendering instead of 256 colors.
Pipes grow in right angles, branch at chrome ball joints and fill the screen until it resets and starts again. Hypnotic, nostalgic and surprisingly calming.

Pipes FAQ
How do I set Pipes as my screensaver on a Mac?
Install SCRNSVRS free from the Mac App Store, select Pipes in the library and click Set as Screensaver. macOS starts it whenever your Mac is idle, exactly like a built-in screensaver.
Can I use Pipes as a live wallpaper?
Yes. Click Set as Wallpaper in SCRNSVRS and Pipes plays on your desktop behind your windows and icons. You can use it as screensaver and wallpaper at the same time.
Is Pipes free?
Yes. Pipes is Free Forever in SCRNSVRS – no account, no ads, no subscription.
Is Pipes a video loop?
No. Pipes is rendered live on your Mac with Metal, so it never repeats and stays sharp on any display size. The clip on this page is a screen recording of the real thing.
Will Pipes slow down my Mac or drain the battery?
No. SCRNSVRS drops to 30 fps on battery and stops rendering when the wallpaper is covered by a full-screen app, so Pipes costs next to nothing in everyday use.
Which Macs does Pipes run on?
Pipes needs macOS Tahoe 26 or later.
